Within the scope of the program titled “Talas Municipality and Sustainability” organized by Kayseri University Sustainability Club, Talas Mayor Mustafa Yalçın met with our students.

At the opening of the program held at the Faculty of Applied Sciences Conference Hall, our Rector Prof. Dr. Kurtuluş Karamustafa stated that the activities organized by student clubs are a valuable indicator of the social skills and organizational skills of young minds who will design the future. In his speech, Rector Karamustafa said, “As Kayseri University, we adopt sustainability as a fundamental corporate principle. With the practices we carry out on our campuses; we demonstrate our sensitivity in waste management and savings, and offer our students a green campus life in harmony with nature. I would like to thank Mr. Mayor for his cooperation and support in our determined efforts to create an academic ecosystem with high environmental awareness, and I wish our listeners a productive conversation.”

Talas Mayor Mustafa Yalçın pointed out the importance of protecting the ecological order for the world of tomorrow.

Mayor Yalçın shared his experiences and observations based on environmentally friendly practices in the field of sustainability with the students. The program, which drew attention to the sustainable use of natural resources and the importance of green technology, ended after the presentation of documents.
